For what it's worth, I performed a full SDR/HDR calibration on the Samsung Q9F that Datsm uses for these reviews that display perfectly matches what I see.
Datsm put the hours into this game and experienced the sights and sounds of different scenes in an immersive manner. While he wishes to remain anonymous, we are splitting game review duties, so I want to give credit where it's due. Portions of this review were written by our "ghost reviewer" who goes by the gamertag Datsm on Xbox Live. Let’s see how Star Wars Battlefront II does when played on a Xbox One X (provided by Microsoft) and a 65" Samsung Q9F QLED TV (provided by Samsung) now that HDR graphics are a part of the experience. Prior to this release, the series was typically a squad-based multiple shooter, so adding a single player storyline is a nice addition to the series.
Notably, the PC version of the 2015 release was the first game to feature Dolby Atmos 3D immersive audio, but unfortunately this version of the game does not feature Atmos, even though the Xbox One X does support it.
Since then Lucasfilm, the owners of all things Star Wars (including the video game division, LucasArts) was sold to Disney. The Star Wars Battlefront game series was relaunched in 2015-before the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro were released. The series originally launched in 2004 and has seen several successful sequels, but it went dormant in 2009. Hopefully with all these three fixes you should run the game. Are you a gamer who loves the Star Wars universe? Do you long to experience adventures in a galaxy far, far away? If so, you are in luck because Star Wars Battlefront II is the first Battlefront game to include a campaign.
PS: If you don't manage to find the hardware and sound section in the control panel, just go in start and type sound in the search section. The game appears to have an issue with sound cards in general, I've been looking in ther Internet for some fixes and these are the ones I've found so far:ġ.) Plug a heaphones and/or a mic in the headphones and/or mic port.ģ.) Go to Control panel > hardware and sound > sound > manage audio devices > recording tab > right click an open area under mic and line in > mark a tick next to show disabled devices > right click on the stereo mix icon that appears and click enable Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
I do have an exception for the game in my firewall but still crashes. It doesn't happen in single player for all modes since I found the fix for the crash (see third fix in the fix section down below).
